Prof Jan Tennent | CEO

Jan’s international experience in research, commercialisation and management was gained in both the public and private sectors through commercial and innovation roles at Pfizer, CSL, the CRC for Vaccine Technology and CSIRO. A Non-Executive Director of Apiam Animal Health Limited and AusBiotech Limited, Jan is also a Collaborative Professor at Osaka University, a Principal Fellow in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Melbourne, a Fellow of the Australian Society for Microbiology, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and past or present Chair or member of a number of government, industry and university advisory boards across the research and health sectors. Previously she was a Board Member of Tweddle Child and Family Health Service, Trustee of the Licensing Executives Society ANZ and Councilor of Melbourne High School.

Debbie Dorfan |  UROP Administrator

Debbie is the longest serving staff member at BioMedVic, joining the organisation in 2006. Debbie has qualifications in Industrial Psychology (Honours) & Knowledge Management (Graduate Diploma). Debbie’s extensive HR and administrative experience supports the program to be the great success that it is today. She ensures that contact with the UROP office is professional, welcoming and personal for all stakeholders.

Núria Saladié |  Engagement Manager

Núria is a science communicator and research and innovation project manager with wide experience in stakeholder engagement across European framework programs. Especially interested in the connections between science and society, Núria has worked as a science journalist and has organised numerous public engagement activities. She holds a Master’s degree in Science Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.

Nicole Warne |  Administrative Assistant

Nicole is an undergraduate student at Monash University Parkville currently undergoing a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science with Honours (Advanced). She joined the BioMedVic team in March 2018 as an Administrative Assistant. In the office, her responsibilities contribute to the ongoing progress of the BioMedVic tasks and events.
