Health and Medical Research in Victoria
• 2% of the workforce
• 4% of the economy
• Globally competitive and engaged
• Saving and improving lives
In May 2012, the Bio21 Cluster held “Innovating for Victoria’s Health”, an exhibition of health and medical research to showcase the strength and value of the sector in Victoria. The exhibition was held over three days in Queen’s Hall, Parliament House and was attended by Victorian government politicians and invited guests.
50 display elements made up the exhibition featuring health and medical research discoveries from over 70 of Victoria’s hospitals, universities and medical research institutes; a series of panels on three themes: Economic Benefits, Saving and Improving Lives, and Victoria on the World Stage; and a series of matching individual stand-alone banners gave a variety of examples of health and medical research innovation and discovery.
Since the Expo was launched, several BioMedVic member organisations have borrowed the displays in part or whole for various events. They are particularly suitable for presentation in institution foyers, at research conferences and seminars.
More detail about the displays can be found in the Expo Information Pack. To make a booking to borrow the displays and for any further information, please contact Hollie Munro on 03 8344 1936.
